Fever London have just released their stunning new Autumn/Winter 12 collection and were kind enough to discuss their new range with us:

What were the inspirations behind the new collection?

The Collection, New Heritage – Scottish heritage meets English aristocracy, creating a new collection with a noble feel.

City, Madison Avenue – City chic with attitude. Strong masculine prints feature on styles cut to accentuate the female shape.

Easy Living, Loungewear – Soft sensual loungewear and accessories to wrap, drape and warm you this winter.

Occasion, Evening decadence – Opulent elegance and decades of glamour echo through this collection of evening wear.

Do you follow a specific catwalk trend(s)?

We travel the world looking for vintage inspiration and we combine this with the season’s trends that we’ve seen on our travels.

What are your favourite dresses from the new range?

The Madison Peplum Dress, a striking geometric print combined with this season’s hottest shape and the Hurlington Dress, a brightly coloured pheasant print on a skater style dress.

Does the new collection have any surprises?

The AW12 Easy Living Loungewear story is a new line for Fever and this will evolve for Spring Summer 2013 with a retro sports, riviera look.

AX Paris have just released their new Autumn/Winter 12 collection and were kind enough to discuss their new range with us:

What were the inspirations behind the new collection?

The inspiration behind the A/W line is taken from the darker side of fashion, with Gothic luxe and urban chic being a prominent theme throughout the collection. A lot of the ideas came from street trends and styling, but in keeping with the AX Paris aesthetic there is still a softer side with chiffon shirts and blouses with lace detail. We still wanted to keep our key pieces, such as the show-stopping party dresses, but there are also a few edgier styles which make the collection a little more intriguing. We wanted to offer something fresh and exciting, but also something that we know our customers will love.

Do you follow a specific catwalk trend(s)?

We always look to the catwalks for inspiration. We pride ourselves on bringing the key trends from the big designers and making them wearable and affordable. Belstaff and Givenchy provided the urban/Gothic themes and even a touch of punk came from Jean Paul Gautier, with our leather biker jackets. Our blouses have a more masculine edge, taken from Miu Miu, but stay pretty with sequined collars and drop back hems. In keeping with the femininity of AX Paris’ style we have a peplum to suit every silhouette, something that was seen on nearly every catwalk this season.

What are your favourite dresses from the new range?

Leather Look Skater Dress is one of our more edgy dresses.

Strapless Peplum Dress in Champagne has a real classic look.

We knew our customers would love the Sequin Top Cut-Out Dress.

And the Sequin Kick Out Dress is the perfect statement dress for any party or event this season.

Does the new collection have any surprises?

The printed Gothic tees and vests are a jump towards the edgier kind of styles that we have tried to incorporate this season. We think they will be very popular!
